As many of you have noticed, we here at Black White Read online community newspapers have been plagued with brief, but frustratingly frequent Web site outages during the last several days.

Wind, hail, sunspots? We've been unable to pin down our usually über-competent hosting company on the exact reason or nature of the problem. Maybe it's all that e-mail from Nigerian bankers flooding the tubes that make up the interweb.

Whatever it is, many of you are persevering, as evident from a quick glance at our stats shows. For those of you gnashing your teeth in frustration, we apologize, and pledge to find the culprit and put him in a lockbox.
