The Lakewood Service League knows how to throw a party, and that finesse was on display Feb. 9 when the group staged its 25th anniversary celebration.

The theme — Club 1982 — paid homage to the year the league was founded, and the decorations and some attire reflected the New Wave era.

The event, which took place at Lakewood Country Club with Shore Chan Bragalone LLP acting as presenting sponsor, though, was all about raising money for the East Dallas charities the league supports annually. Two special projects are being highlighted this year — the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center and the Lakewood Park.
