Steve Blow writes a regular column for the Metro section of the Dallas Morning News.
A native of Tyler, Texas, and graduate of the University of North Texas, his career in journalism began with stints as a reporter for the Fort Worth Press and the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.
Blow joined the News in 1978 as a general assignments reporter before taking on the role of East Texas bureau chief until 1989, when he became the paper's Metro section columnist.
The Lakewood Library Friends, LLF, presents an evening with Blow March 5. The award-winning columnist's address will be "Steve Blow's Bag of Tricks: Tools for Taming Life."
Doors open at 6 p.m. for a reception of hors d'oeuvres before the 7 p.m. program. There is a $10 donation for LLF members, or a $15 donation for non-members.
