The folks at Keller Williams Dallas City Center want to help fill a food pantry. This pantry is stocked by the people at the St. Philip's School and Community Center, and both groups need help collecting food.
The donated items will be used to help feed the hungry in Dallas.
Keller Williams Dallas City Center will open its doors from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 12 at 1811 Greenville Ave. to collect donations.
Requested items include canned vegetables, spaghetti sauce and pasta, rice, beans, fruit cocktail, and Vienna sausages, as well as tissues, paper towels, soap, personal hygiene items, grooming items, and dental care products. Money is always a good thing to donate, too.
Light refreshments will be on hand for donors.
So, why is this important? Besides the fact that people are hungry out there, more than 24 percent of Texas children don't know the source or time of their next meal.
