
I don't answer the landline phone at home. No one has that number. Friends and family use our cell phones. Only solicitors call the house.
For whatever reason, the cosmos directed me to answer the home phone as it rang tonight. I figured, after three nearly successive calls without a message [had to be telemarketers], I might get off one calling list.
As it turns out, it was my wife's boss offering us two tickets to Wednesday's Stars-Sharks game, which could be the series clincher and send Dallas to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since the year 2000. And that one was at Reunion.
Oh yeah, we accepted. As an added bonus, the tickets are free. Did I mention the seats are five rows from the ice, at about center ice?
Yeah, this one was meant to be.
