We posted an item Tuesday night about Cosmo and Sadie — a brindled greyhound and yellow Lab, respectively — who went missing Monday.
A friend in all things East Dallas and now, certainly, pet watch, wrote this morning about finding and rescuing Cosmo after the dogs' human found Sadie earlier in the week.
Karen Eubank, who lives in Hollywood Heights, was driving Thursday along Brookside Drive with her 11-year-old son, Rowan, when she spotted Cosmo trotting down the side of Lakewood Country Club. They slowed the car and noticed another vehicle trailing the dog as well.
Eubank, her son and the driver of the other car — a woman identified as Kelly, another Hollywood Heights resident — were joined by a third woman, and together they corralled Cosmo in a neighbor's yard.
Cosmo had on identifying tags, and he and his human were reunited within 20 minutes of the capture-rescue, Eubank said.
As an added bonus, the third woman, Meredith Motley, who joined the chase worked with Eubank 25 years ago, and the two hadn't seen each other for about 20 years. Motley had lived in the area years earlier and, according to Eubank, "just happened to be taking a drive through her ‘old neighborhood' and stopped to help."
