Female high school seniors and college students have a new ally in finding summer internships.
Lakewood-area Women in Business and its sister organization, Park Cities-area Women in Business, in conjunction with Professional Bank-Lakewood, offers a matchmaking service to identify likely intern opportunities for young women.
The service will match member business owners with applicants through the Women in Business 2008 Future WIB Internship Program. Some internships are paid positions and others are for school credit.
Students should submit résumés to Women in Business founder Darlene Ellison. The résumés will be matched with and submitted to participating WIB members, who will then contact the potential intern for an interview.
