Caring parents want their children to be safe, and there will be no safer place in town this weekend when the Dallas Police Department Northeast Operations Division puts on its annual Kids Safety Fair.
The fair takes place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17 at division headquarters.
Representatives from multiple police units, state agencies, and safety organizations will be on hand to explain protective and preventive measures to parents and their children and to demonstrate their specialties.
Kids can get up close and personal with a police helicopter, Dallas Fire-Rescue truck, police motorcycles, the SWAT and K-9 units, and the bomb squad.
Police boats also will be on the grounds as well as a sky-watch tower, an ambulance, and mounted police and their steeds.
