
I couldn't help but chuckle at a quote in Sunday's paper attributed to Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert.
In a rundown of notable quotes from the week, our mayor offered this bit of unintended humor in defending the city's push to build a city-owned convention center hotel:
"Our opponents will say, ‘Why does the city need to run a hotel?' My answer to them is that we aren't. We're going to hire competent people to do that."
Wow.
